Recurring Downtime: add "weekday" choice
We have a service that runs only during the week from 04:00 to 20:00. During the offline time, a downtime should be set. Currently, I have to create multiple recurring downtime rules to cover all time periods, which makes it very confusing.
It would be a fantastic improvement if we could use a "weekday" choice like in the "Time period" Rule or select one of the time periods to define recurring downtimes! This would make things so much easier for everyone!
This is how I would enter such a downtime:
Repeat this downtime every
[x] Monday
[starts at 20:00] [duration 8 hours 5 mins]
[X] Tuesday
[starts at 20:00] [duration 8 hours 5 mins]
[X] Wednesday
[starts at 20:00] [duration 8 hours 5 mins]
[X] Thursday
[starts at 20:00] [duration 8 hours 5 mins]
[X] Friday
[starts at 20:00] [duration 4 hours 0 mins]
[X] Saturday
[starts at 00:00] [duration 24 hours 0 mins]
[X] Sunday
[starts at 00:00 ] [duration 28 hours 5 min]

I think the better way would be if the Recurring downtimes would make use of the already existing "Time periods". -

in my case i have recurring downtimes each 3. Sunday and each 4. Sunday of the month so Option to use it for recurring weekly, monthly, each x day oft the chosen Periode from the beginning or end of Month would be nice and covers nearly all
Each Company has a Patch day for the half part of the Equipment and a 2. for for the Rest. and not all Systems needs reboot or something like this that`s why also the option to start the Downtime just if the system / Service is changing state
What is the best Option ????? " recurring downtimes" like descripted or "scheduled downtimes" with the Option to use "Tim periods"
and what is easier to Implantat ???? perhaps it`s Time to drop one of the Option`s and create a single option who covers all time Handling and sheduled Handlings and for CMK it will be easier to maintain ?

Bernd HolzhauerWhat I forgot to mention of course you can also cover and handle all this via the REST API (Ansible, SCCM, ....) but not everyone has the knowledge and ability to do it this way and would rather have a built-in function that covers all use cases.
