Choose List of host in monitoring view and pass them to setup
There should be a way to run bulk-discovery on a list of hosts out of a monitoring view. For example when I updated to 2.3.0p10 there have been many service problems because of UNKNOWN "Postfix Queue default". Now it would be great if I can pick this list of hosts and run a buld-discovery to remove all vanished services only on them.

Dennis Ehmer MergedI want to have a view with all results of last service discovery. Then I want to select manually the lines with interesting hosts, then I want an additional command in command menu to perform a service discovery, probably followed by a selection popup.

Arvid Carlander MergedThere are many situations when hosts have been selected in the monitoring side of CheckMK - such as when filtering for all hosts that are down - and there is often a need to change configuration for those hosts, but there is no way of keeping the list of selected hosts when jumping to the configuration side of CheckMK.
There should be better links from the monitoring side to the setup/configuration side of CheckMK -

Gerd MergedI already voted for this, but saw that https://ideas.checkmk.com/suggestions/568826/choose-list-of-host-in-monitoring-view-and-pass-them-to-setup from a month ago is probably the same, right :)?

Arvid Carlander MergedIf Checkmk looses contact with a large number of hosts Checkmk may not have capacity to continue monitoring. The recommended recovery is by identifying the hosts that are not replying and changing configuration so that they are not monitored, and then restoring the original configuration when the outage is over.
One big issue with this is that there is no way of filtering to find the hosts that are down and then using the list to change configuration - he monitoring and configuration parts of checkmk are separate.
We need a function that allows filtering by state and configuration of the hosts, or more generally a mechanism that allows generating a list of hosts in the monitoring part of checkmk and then using that list of hosts in the configuration part of checkmk.
In addition to being a very important function for recovery, this function would be very useful in all other situations when changing configuration on several hosts based on criteria that can be filtered in monitor -
