Mobile App for Checkmk
Create an iOS and Android app for Checkmk, which is focused on monitoring (not setup). It should address 2 common use cases:
* Receive notifications and allow drill down and instant actions (like acknowledge, set downtime, ...)
* See site overview (like Overview snapin) and allow drill down from there

@Thomas Lippert
I would love the following features:
- General Overview
- Views
-- Filterable Views for Hosts and Services (only my down/warn/crit Host/Services)
-- Performance Data
- Mobile notifications
-- enable notifications (for the app)
-- disable notifications (for the app)
-- configure schedules on when to be notified (e.g. only crit during night time or not at all during night times)
-- customizable notification methods (like "ring until the phone breaks" or just a simple pling)
- Set and remove Acknowledgements
- Set and remove Downtimes
- Two-Factor Authentication
Some other interesting options would be (next step)
- Some actions and global Admin options for Administrators
- a text chat based on e.g. host- or contact-groups
- on-call group management -

ChristianI absolutely love easyNag!
But a first party solution with all the things in easyNag, but also with notifications would be great! -

HelmuthWe also used aNag for Android until the Check_MK Microcore was released. It was a great time and so much better than a browser...

Rick BaranowskiWe currently still use the Nagios core so we can continue to use aNag because there is no other option that works as well as aNag. Lot of the features that aNag has like, quite times schedules, ack alerts, set downtimes, volume/vibrate override for critical alerts, etc.

Raymond DonohoeWhile a responsive website would suit most it's the notifications I would be after. Ultimately I am looking at unattended monitoring and only using the system to help with fault-finding and analysis.
For me, you can never get an app to replace the main system and I think it is the wrong way to look at it. So for me, it would be:
- 2 factor
- configurable notifications
- Active alarms list
- Alarms acknowledgement
I certainly wouldn't want to do more than this on a mobile app as we already have that in the main application -

Thomas Lippert AdminThank you all for your comments. If I summarize them, it looks like you are looking for a Checkmk app, which offers:
* Being the target for notifications
* Show an overview like the overview widget in the sidebar
* Have the ability to drill down to the list of problem hosts or services and drill further into each of the problem hosts/services
I am a bid unclear, which actions are required at this point. Acknowledgements, Schedule downtimes, Comments? So basically what actions do you want to do on a mobile device -

MatthiasAn overview of the servers. It would be nice if a prefabricated view could be used. Notifications for selected hosts, so that one has granularly configured the different notification paths.
To acknowledge problems and set maintenance. -

SaschaHi all, is there any update on whether the app will be developed?
- on-call group management would also be very interesting for us. -

AlexSMaybe for some of you the following Telegram Bot: https://github.com/deexno/checkmk-telegram-plus is a good alternative. With this you can read information from Checkmk, display statistics and receive notifications. It may not offer everything an app could offer, but it's certainly perfect for the meantime.

Tom201023I have implemented a notification plugin for ntfy.sh. It allows you to receive Checkmk notifications as push messages on your mobile phone. You can get it from the Checkmk Exchange. Give it a try.

Niklas Pulina AdminHello,
After thorough internal discussion, we’ve come to the conclusion that this idea is also in line with our long-term goals. We will therefore consider implementing it in a future version of our software.
Given the scope of this idea and/or our capabilities, we ask for your understanding that we will not be able to deliver this in the immediate upcoming releases.
As soon as we can commit to developing this feature for a future release, we will change its status to ‘planned’.
At Checkmk we work on ideas based on business needs, customer demand, and resource availability. For strategic reasons, we reserve the right to re-evaluate the priority and/or scope of this feature as new information becomes available. We therefore ask for your understanding that we do not guarantee its implementation.
Warm regards,
Your Checkmk team -

SaraHi all! Community members in the meantime created a student project -- an unofficial app for Checkmk and you can help to test it :) They posted in the forum about all the details: https://forum.checkmk.com/t/seeking-test-users-for-unofficial-checkmk-app-join-our-beta-testing-now/48378

SvenHello everyone, is there any new information about the app? Is an implementation planned? Or has the topic been abandoned? I think that this could be of interest to some users and partners, especially in the area of on-call duty

Mohamed Saleh AdminHi Sven,
Thank you for reaching out.
There are no concrete plans for implementation yet. -

Sebastian Krahe AdminWe are moving the "Mobile App" from "Accepted" back to "In Consideration" to reflect our current strategic focus. Our priority has shifted to make our dashboards, widgets, and graphs more intuitive, powerful, and accessible (including creation workflows). Based on our research and engagement with users, improving this is the most critical priority and provides the greatest value to all users right now. This means active development on a mobile app is not on the immediate roadmap, and we will re-evaluate it after this core work is complete.

Stefan S.What the [...]?? No iOS app but 175€/months 🤦🏼♂️
Other solutions like PRTG have an iOS app and have been cheaper so far. -

DanielHi Sebastian,
I understand the reasoning behind moving the Mobile App back to In Consideration and prioritizing improvements to dashboards, widgets, and graphs. However, after reviewing the requests in the forums, I haven’t seen significant voting activity around dashboards compared to the long-standing request for the mobile application, which has been registered since 2022.
It’s a bit disappointing that such impactful functionality is still missing, especially when mobile access is increasingly essential in today’s digital world—where a smartphone is practically an additional hand.. While I appreciate the focus on quick wins and enhancing usability, I hope the mobile app will remain a key consideration and be revisited soon after the current priorities are delivered as THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE ASKING FOR. -

defdefredHi Mohamed,
I mean FireFox or any browser in "computer mode" or "mobile mode".
Specific dashboard can be dedicated to small screen for mobile user.
