Azure: Service Retirement

9 votes

Hello CheckMK Community and Developers,
I have a new feature request regarding Azure cloud resources which are going to be retired or are already deprecated. In the Azure cloud it is very important to keep up with resources which are on a deprecation path or which are already deprecated by Microsoft. It would be important to deliver this information via CheckMK so that there can be alerting for such resources.

Azure Advisor even offers a Workbook which queries Azure via KQL language to display the retired services (see attachment). So from a technical perspective this should definitely be possible. In addition to that there are multiple open-source Azure Service Retirement (EOL) workbooks out there on GitHub.
This would be a really helpful and nice feature for CheckMK.

Kind regards,
Colin
