Please add a comment field to the host properties, similar to "rule properties"
At the moment, it is not possible to add comments within the host properties.
This means you can't leave a note when disabling a host, making changes, or adding important information.
It would be helpful to have the same comment field here as is already available in the regular rules section.

Martin Hirschvogel AdminGood morning Josef!
a) https://docs.checkmk.com/latest/en/custom_notes.html?lquery=wiki
b) Notes (URL) ruleset --> Use sth. like DokuWiki (https://forum.checkmk.com/t/dokuwiki-reintegration/29241)

JosefGood morning Martin,
this isn’t quite the same.
We use the comment field more like a change log, including entries such as:
Who created the rule/host
What was modified or changed
Important hints or context
I don’t think the "Note" feature - visible only in the host status - can really cover this use case.
I’d go a step further: having a "Documentation URL" field would also be very useful. It would allow us to link to external documentation or internal wiki pages directly from the rule that is visible in the host view. -

Lars SörensenIn my view, everything that can be edited should include a comment field. This provides transparent and traceable documentation of changes and facilitates communication among stakeholders.
