REST API: Send user message

The new "User messages" feature is a very useful way to quickly send a message to Checkmk users. We would like to use this feature to inform active users via popup about an upcoming maintenance window.
Unfortunately, there is currently no API available to make use of this new feature. We kindly request an extension of the REST API to support the "Send user messages" functionality.
It would be necessary for the API to offer the same options as available in the GUI (Message, Send message to, Messaging methods, and Message expiration).
