REST API: LDAP API should provide Validation endpoint

With the release of 2.4 we now have a set of API calls which allow us to manage the LDAP connection configurations in CheckMK which is a good step forward. Unfortunately this API has only partially implemented the functions of the GUI and it has missed the critical functionality of connection validation (on the GUI you can save and test).

In our environment we have locked down all access to make changes and are using the API to manage all configuration in CheckMK - we want to be able to validate LDAP connections (both as they're configured and if we start having issues) but to do that we have to grant way more permissions in the GUI. Having an API validation endpoint would mean that we can keep the system secure and provide the tools that people need.

Personally I think this is a bug (ie the partial implementation so its a bug by omission) I am trying to get support to raise it as such (hoping that it gets fixed quicker than via this route).
