Rules: FileGroup drop down menu

Please implement a FileGroup drop down menu for a better ruling and problem prevention.
In general we need the drop down menus for all data in the rules. Manual typing makes problems and prevents straight forward rule definitions and monitoring solutions.

Thanks for posting your idea!
If I am not mistaken, the image in the description is from the monitoring rule 'File grouping patterns' which is used by 'fileinfo' plug-in. As this is where you first configure the file group patterns (to be used later in the 'Size, age, and count of file groups'), the drop down would have nothing to read from to begin with. Is your suggestion to have a drop down when selecting the file Groups in the monitoring rule 'Size, age, and count of file groups'?

The FR should focus on all rules that display existing data which we can edit.
Yes, I think that is how you wrote it. If there is a first rule with name, there is no drop down menu possible, but if there is data, it should be displayed and only that. If there is no data, it is missing from the first rule in the rule chain. So we need an information taht we have to edit the first ule bevore. In Checkmk it is not clear which rules have to be created first. A wizard would be very good here, so that you don't always have to search why the rules don't work and no data comes.

But please not a drop down menu like it is implemented in Checkmk. The one we see at hostnames is buggy and shows all different thinks together and as well wrong data which prevent that the rule is triggering (empty spaces of copy and paste).
