Add quick button "end downtime" to regularly end a downtime
We would need a button "End downtime" to regularly end a downtime, beside the existing buttons "Remove downtime" and "Modify downtime".
Also a desired place: In views with datasource "Scheduled downtimes", beside the existing button "Edit downtimes".
One / the primary reason: As work is finished earlier, the downtime has ended earlier than it's configured end time and the alerting (notifications) should be active now again, not at the configured end time.
Currently we achieve this by modification of the end time. The status (event) is then what we expect: "END". But this manual modification of the end time is very inefficient, as it requires manual fill up of six textboxes (date and time).
The existing "Remove downtime" functionality is not the same and therefore no alternative, as the status of the downtime is CANCELLED afterwards.
Furthermore, some are using "Remove downtime" incorrectly to reactivate the monitoring immediately.

Lars SörensenI agree with marcel. If a running downtime is ended prematurely, the status must be set to “END”, as the downtime was ended correctly.

The status “CANCELLED” suggests that the downtime was not active and the time should therefore not be included in the SLA calculation.
From the perspective of a process, a downtime can only be deleted if it has not yet started. Once it is active, it can only be cancelled or ended. This allows this operation to be tracked at a later date (e.g. to explain why no alarms were sent at that time).
