Disable "stale" via "Global settings"
In our environment its very important that we know if a service/host is working or not. For that we build processes and combining important services/hosts via BI / servicegroups ...
So at the moment, if a host is "down" its services turn into "stale" after a configurable amount of time (check intervals x 1.5).
But for us it makes no difference - if I need the service of that host and that service is not available anymore, the service has to become "CRIT" an not "stale".
Not everybody will understand, that a slightly lighter green color and a spider web tells you, that the service isn't running.
So my suggestion:
- I want to disable the "stale" feature in global setting completely - so if a host is down, all services become CRIT
or
- a rule that allows me to disable "stale" for certain services/hosts

Robert SanderStale tells you that the current status of the service is too old because it could not be updated any more.
This is different from saying the service is CRIT or WARN.
You really need to take the state of the host into account.
