SAML LDAP attribute sync

Enabling SAML LDAP attribute sync (akin to what works in LDAP Connections) would offer flexibility to sync custom attributes for users to include their default start URL, authorized sites, visibility of host/services, etc.
I am about to enroll ~100 business unit folks and having to set their default dashboard manually for each user is a beat down.
I've heard told that this might be in the pipeline but it's not working correctly at the moment. Is there a beta/testing program into which we can enroll?
