Show hosts and its services rule dependencies
Show hosts and its services rule dependencies
It is a pain to search for all the rule or definition dependencies in which a host and its defined services, are/is involved.
Furthermore, it is not possible at the GUI, more or less only at the command line.
Hence we need much more transparency to show up all the rules (groups, tags, labels, notifications, etc.) in which the host is involved. Preferred is a button "rule transparency" at the hosts service view.
The view, by click at the button, should give us the possibility to show a list of all the dependencies, there categories and the rules with directly link to that rule or definition, to edit it.

Sebastian Krahe AdminFurther input from user via different channel: "When deleting a host, there is no notification if the host is explicitly referenced in a specific rule. It often happens that customers want a host to be set up just like Host XY. In such cases, it would be extremely helpful to have a list of all rules available that apply to Host XY."
Status changed to "Under consideration".
