Send Email Notifications with Amazon SES

Provide a new notification script, which sends email notifications via Amazon SES.
This makes the setup of Checkmk easier, as it requires only a https connection outbound, no firewall ports open or email server configuration

As this suggestion does not change a core feature of Checkmk I suggest that you ask a partner or a capable developer to implement such a notification plugin. Put it on the Checkmk exchange for other people's benefit.

I have achieved this by using the Tines plugin from the exchange. All the data from the notification is transferred, and you can design your email as you like. Tines allows 500 workflow runs/day for the free version, which is sufficient for home users.
Disclaimer: I wrote this plugin and the Zapier/IFTTT plugin to see, which of the automation tools best fit my needs. In the end, I chose Tines because of the generous free account limits.
