Make the thresholds and other parameters of a service available in a view column
A user may want to evaluate the thresholds between different services of the same kind (e.g. they share the same check plugin). In another case, a user want to see immediately the reasons some specific services changed their state from OK to WARN/CRIT.
To be able to handle these use cases, the thresholds/parameters of a service need to be available as a view column.

Lars SörensenIt should show the values for all timeperiods. If you open the parameter for this service View you can only see the Thresholds that are active at the time of opening the View. You can't see which thresholds/parameters are set during non-office hours or on weekends or whatever timerange is defined.

Mike1098Since long we are asking for a solution to document/show the settings for the checks. It would be much appreciated to have this inline in the GUI.

Hambrock, I.This is really important - especially for auditing purposes.

After a certain time monitoring admins get asked the following question and there's just no way to answer this right now:
"Hey Admin, please give me a holistic overview of all the thresholds that you configured on our servers for all available services. I'm not interested in something that does not match my server but i need to document the current threshold setup and i need that for everyone of our servers to identify potential config issues on the thresholds." -

Niklas Pulina AdminHello Mike1098, our Ideas Portal is built on a third-party platform that has a built-in throttling mechanism for votes.
For details, please see https://help.featureupvote.com/article/71-throttling
While we can change a few (very basic) settings here, we have no influence on the underlying mechanism. If you have the feeling that your vote was removed by this throttling mechanism, please feel invited to vote again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Warm regards,
Your Checkmk team -

HardyWe really need this feature for many of our customers.
It is really very time-consuming in Checkmk to get an overview of all or serveral hosts and/or services with current threshold values and to export these. In many financial companies, however, this is precisely an audit requirement.
Best regards

Heiko W.I work in a bank and have the same requirements from our compliance department.

We have to deliver reports that check whether the specified thresholds for monitoring are being met. Changes to the thresholds must be documented and justified.
We received an audit notice because of missing threshold checks.
Now we can make the effort to build something ourselves. But I think it would be better if this was done directly from Checkmk.
We would process the report (JSON?) in our internal control system and identify and report deviations from the specified values. We have been doing this for a long time with various controls and it works great. -

Lars SörensenWe've been talking about this topic since the 1.5 version, and it's been grossly neglected until now.
With more and more customers facing audits, regulations and compliance requirements, this issue is becoming increasingly important.
This makes a very bad impression when the audit report states that Checkmk cannot provide this type of information.
