Add a "Several Service/Host Contact Groups" or "Service/Host Contact Group (Regex)" Filter with which you can select several groups at once.

Marcel Arentz Admin MergedCurrently, it's only possible to select specific contact groups in a drop-down. On the other side, it's possible to use a regular expression to search for specific users.
It would help a lot, if the same functionality is available for the contact group search. -

thorbenIt would be nice if you can also take over the contact group of the host

Martin Hirschvogel AdminHello,
Thank you for your idea. On this portal, we carefully evaluate ideas to ensure that they will benefit a wide range of users. Thus, we close ideas not fulfilling certain criteria:
- Suggestions with low user interest: created more than 1 year ago with 5 votes or less
- Suggestions with no momentum: no votes in the last 6 months
Unfortunately, this suggestion doesn't meet these criteria, so we’re closing it (based on the data available until 2023-10-17). We appreciate your contribution and encourage you to continue to share your ideas. Your input plays a vital role in helping us improve our product for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
Warm regards,

Lars SörensenI find it very disappointing that a feature that will benefit a wide range of users, is considered by Checkmk employees as very useful and for that we have been waiting for years is simply put on the sidelines because it has received "too little attention in the last 6 months".
All FR of the first hour will be punished by this Rule. Users who joined later will only see the newer FRs because the NEW, TRENDING and TOP filter simply filters out the older ones. Only those who actively go through all FR or search for it will see them. -

Lars Sörensen MergedWe have many contact groups with similar names and teams with different contact groups:
os_team_windows
os_team_linux
os_team_aix
support_group_1
support_group_2
support_group_3
It would be a great help if it was possible to use a regex in the filter for the "contact groups", as is already possible today for the "host contact" and the "service contact", so that several contact groups can be selected at the same time:
Host Contact Group (regex):
os_team_(linux|aix)
Service Contact Group (regex):
support_group_(1|2) -

Feel free to can add your use case as a comment and vote for it :)
In fact, there have been numerous users voting on this one
https://ideas.checkmk.com/suggestions/300900/filter-add-the-possibility-to-select-multiple-contact-groups.
The idea is in status Not Planned (see the comments) but that does not mean it could not be considered in the future if it gets enough votes!

Lars Sörensen MergedHi Mohamed,
Then merge these two old requests into this new request as it better illustrates what the idea behind it is.
I guess most visitors will only look at the Ideas under "New / Under consideration" and vote only for them. No one will bother to look at ideas that have been moved to "not pland" status and vote for them because you have already made it known that they won't be implemented. -

Mohamed Saleh AdminHello,
We would like to give you a short update about this idea.
Although it was originally moved to Not Planned due to not meeting all criteria of interest and momentum, we noticed that more users continued to provide feedback that they share the same business problem. Therefore, as part of our ongoing efforts to make your input on the Ideas Portal more actionable, we’ve decided to move this idea back to Under Consideration so others can actively vote and comment on it. Other similar / overlapping ideas have been merged so that all input is consolidated here.
Warm Regards,
Your Checkmk Team
