Take sometime and fix the TechDebts and make Checkmk more future prove
I think you should take sometime and fix first bugs and setup better quality goals.
Also, I guess you have a lot of Technical Debt, that prevents you from fast development, also less tech debt can mean fewer bugs.
So please take your time and make Checkmk future prove and then implement cool features

Thomas Lippert AdminThis feature request is hard to tick off, as this is a continuous activity.
tribe29 is phasing out deprecated features, refactor the code, migrating check plugins and adding more and more unit tests since the 2.0 release. But there will never be any end to this.
Therefore the question, should I keep this ticket open, or close it -

DanielKeep it open as it is not only thinks from the past - its present everywhere.
New features you implement are not well thought out. One of your problems we pointed you (tribe29) on, way before your time Thomas Lippert.
Its so many little thinks, and not only for us, from so many people, who need to constantly argue with you (tribe29) if its a bug or a feature. Read the lines between in the forum since years.
Just an example, from only one of many small problems related to this topic:
You're writing in your git commit and werk - support of check_plugin XYZ
If we, as customers read it, we would expect all features/options are covered. But apprently its not - some parameters are missing and this are "features" - for many of us - its just not working!

Martin Hirschvogel AdminWe have heavily invested over the last years to build up further development teams and product management to increase the quality of Checkmk.
If you are interested in what we have done, I recommend the insights into Checkmk development talk and the roadmap talk at Checkmk Conference #9.
I am "closing" this, because we hear you and we will continue to work in that area, e.g. we have several open positions for UX and QA at the moment to further invest into that area and are working hard to get these roles filled and thus build an even greater Checkmk
